Abstract

In this study aims to analyze the health of banks with the CAMELS method in Islamic Public Banking. Capital (Capital) is proxied by CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio), Asset (Asset Quality) is proxied by NPF (Non Performing Financing), Management (Health Management) is proxied by NPM (Net Profit Margin), Earning (Profitability / Revenue) proxied by ROA (Return On Assets) and BOPO (Operating Expenses Against Operational Income), Liquidity (Liquidity) is proxied by FDR (Financing to Deposit Ratio), and Sensitivity to Market Risk is proxied by IER (Interest Expense Ratio).

This research is classified as quantitative research and uses secondary data with a sample of Islamic Banks in Indonesia in 2014-2018 as many as 10 banks. The analysis technique used is the discriminant assumption test with the aim of finding out the variables that prove to be the most dominant in shaping the discriminant function.

The results of this study showed that from a total of 50 data, 39 banks were categorized as healthy, and 11 banks were classified as unhealthy. Whereas judging by the results of the assumption of discriminant variable testing that proved to be the most dominant in shaping the discriminant function is the NPF (Non Performing Financing) variable. While the CAR, NPM, ROA, BOPO, FDR and IER variables are smaller than NPF
